Areas of Specialism
I have worked successfully with clients who have presented with a vast range of issues....... and I do seem to have become particularly skilled in working effectively with clients who struggle with depression, low self esteem and anxiety, who may also have experienced significant trauma at certain times in their life.
Personal Approach
I have seen how raising awareness and understanding, offers a very solid grounding from which clients can approach the work that presents itself during counselling. My job is often to help navigate clients through that process, using my skills, knowledge, and experience.
I am very empathic, and this sometimes leads me to present an intuitive feeling to clients. This may offer a much deeper understanding to us both.
I encourage creativity in the counselling room - whether this is in the use of metaphor, photographs, art work, or music that clients might bring with them. This may then be the catalyst that helps clients explore issues with greater depth, insight and involvement.
I am a very genuine person, who is warm and engaging. I am natural in the way I want to encourage my clients to relax and be themselves, and I believe it is a privilege to accompany clients on what can often be, a very rewarding journey for them.
